Today's edition of RJP's SBC features Madeline!
Maddie is a Senior at Rockford High School.
Maddie LOVES to dance, and has been dancing since she's been 5 years old. In addition to performing on stage, she’s danced at local retirement homes, has done telethons on TV, and has performed at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. She’s also an Assistant Teacher at her dance studio.
A local author featured Maddie on the cover of her book, Dancing with Shadows. The book is about a teenage girl with a blood platelet disorder called ITP. Maddie was the inspiration for this book because when she was 12 years old she was diagnosed with ITP! She spent a lot of time at the Children's Hospital over the course of the next two years and after seeing the role of Child Life Specialists in the hospital, she has decided that she will pursue this career during her college years, while also minoring in Dance!
She will be attending GRCC in the fall, and will transfer to a 4-year college to complete her education.
